RPE DOORS publish

I would like to remove the "Publish" toolbar shortcut from the DOORS explorer - how do I do that?

I placed this question also on the RPE forum question, just in case.

You should be able to remove this menu by customizing pre-defined add-ins dxl, which is located at DOORS\lib\dxl\addins\Publish\ .

you are correct and I have done this - the location you described is for the "Publish" button on the inside of a module, not for the DOORS explorer window.

Is it a toolbar, or menu option? I suppose it comes along with installation of RPE, so not sure why you'd like to remove it.

If it is a menu, then you should likely find some related file in DOORSHOME\lib\dxl\config\baseWindowMenuFiles.. or possibly in location specified by projectaddins key in registry (that is, if you have one).

Hi - this has been resolved, thank you - it is not a registry setting  - you have to remove a file from a certain folder in your installation directory.
The answer is in the Rational RPE forum, where I also posted this question.

The reason why I want to remove is, that we do not, currently, do a "publish a project" type of export and for users not to get confused with a module export, I wanted to remove the explorer option for now -
